Dory

It's good to be Dory. We just walked to the pond and there were two mallards swimming around. Dory stood quietly and watched and then jumped in! She never got close to them, but she is now one wet dog. The mallards put up with her for a minute and then flew off. They'll be back and I'll have my camera next time!

Two more weeks and we'll have had Dory for a year. When I think of the unspeakable acts of cruelty she endured before she came to us, it makes me sick. But now, she is one lucky girl.

Stream of Consciousness

Spring is on its way. We have 2 streams on the property..well, that's a bit of a stretch, but there is definite running water. The pond is overflowing. It was 72 today! Spring is such a great renewal for one's spirit.

While I wish I was going to Mexico for spring break, it will be fabulous to see the Southern California contingent. I have the best mother-in-law on the planet earth! It will be good to share a meal, laughs, and beverages with that awesome woman.

Life is good.

Time changes

We'll be in Los Angeles in 2 weeks. The time change sucks. I don't know why we are all such sheep, following along calmly while changes are made around us.
